Sep Blater wins re-election as FIFA president




  RSI SOCCER-FIFA/ S SPO SOC CHE                  Sepp Blater, having won re-election as FIFA's president and a fifth term, retained his position as the most powerful figure in soccer. It was followed by the withdrawal of Prince Ali bin al-Hussain, who was his only competition.
                   Blatter responded to the cheering voters that he likes his them and his job. He tried totouch the crowd with his humble words, I am not perfect, nobody is perfect, but we will do a good job together I am sure."
                   For a while, things took a different shape when the first European governing body UEFA, , then U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati came out in public support of Prince Ali. UEFA chief Michel Platini was spotted lobbying influential Asian confederation chiefs late into the Zurich night and into the early hours of Friday morning. Yet, Blatter's core support came through, and although the ballot was conducted in secret, as per FIFA regulations, he maintained near-unanimous backing.
         

Angela Merkel not against EU treaty change



            Angela merkel, the German Chancellor, has said that she does not rule out future treaty changes in Europe and will be a "constructive partner" to the UK in getting  reforms. After her talks with the prime minister,David Cameron, she said her clear-cut view was that the UK should remain in the EU
            Strengthening the idea of co-operation, she told him that there was common ground across many areas. She added that progress on welfare would be more protracted.
            Mr, Cameron seemed to be ironical when he said that there was no magic solution to reform. However, he appeared to be optimistic when he said, " Where there's a will there's a way" .

Also, he repeated his call to Sepp Bkatter to step down as soon as possible.             After the press conference, the German Chancellor told the journalists that Germany and other EU countries had red lines  such as upholding the principle of freedom of movement- but that she hoped as far as possible to accommodate the UK's demands.

             Standing in solidarity with Mr. Cameron, the Chancellor said that Germany would like to be a part of the process that is going in Great Britain at the moment and her wish to be a constructive partner in this process.

                                But the accompanying headline was more of a surprise to Germans : Merkel doesn't rule out treaty change!"  Mrs. Merkel's decision is a matter of astonishment to the Germans because she, like the leaders of France and Poland, kept herself away from such a treaty.

P.K. Sinha is appointed the Cabinet secretary





                       

                  The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, has appointed Shri Pradeep Kumar Sinha, IAS, as the next Cabinet Secretary, with effect from June 13,2015. He succeeds Shri Ajit Seth. Shri Sinha has been serving as Secretary, Ministry of Power, since July,2013. He has earlier been Secretary in the Ministry of Shipping, and has held several important positions in the Union Government and the State of Uttar Prades               h.
   
                 The Prime Minister has also approved that Shri P.K. Sinha may be appointed as OSD.in the Cabinet Secretariat.



India : The fastest growing economy



          Finance minister, Arun Jaitley says India is the fastest growing economy. Its growth rate rose to 7.5% in February, 2015 and to 8.9% at present. He announces that Indian tertiary sector has recovered and has become the harbinger of hope                                                                          .

A text message can shut down your iPhone



                 The Apple news throws light on the fact that a simple text message sent by you to the iPhone users can cause their phones to shut down. A newly-discovered glitch in Apple's software can cause iPhones to mysteriously shut down when they receive a certain text message. the company refused to mention the text but hinted that it is easily available on the online. It added that the text includes Arabic and other non-Roman characters. It causes the recipient's phone to restart and makes it difficult for them to open their Messages app. Apple is aware of the problem. This was stated by a company spokeswoman . Also, she said that the company would make a fix available in a software update.
             
           

         

The U.S. says China had placed mobile artillery weapons systems

Adidas urge FIFA to uphold ethical standards



                Expressing its apprehension over the suspected corruption, the German sportswear company Adidas called on soccer's world governing body FIFA to do more to establish transparent compliance standards after several of its officials were arrested on Wednesday.
